Fondion
Our cooperation with Software Sauna has not only achieved its technical goals but has further enhanced both parties’ work methods, team dynamics, and overall efficiency.

Fondion is a comprehensive ERP dedicated to serving the construction industry. This state-of-the-art system enables clients to increase efficiency and monitor their real-time costs and incomes. In other words, Fondion has the means to increase the profitability of their customers.
The key highlight of Sauna’s collaboration with Fondion has been the dedicated effort to refactoring the codebase. This initiative was pivotal in improving the system’s maintainability and enabling Fondion to implement new features faster and more precisely.
Beyond the code refactoring, Software Sauna helped Fondion implement several new app features that Fondion’s customers had eagerly awaited.

Zefort
Software Sauna stands out for me with both their high level of expertise and exceptionally pleasant team.

Zefort is the fastest and easiest way to manage all your contracts. You can create, sign, and store contracts on their AI-powered platform with minimal effort.
Software Sauna was responsible for automating UI testing and upgrading Zefort’s frontend. Furthermore, an important aspect of this project was to transfer knowledge about testing to Zefort’s internal development team.
With a higher test coverage, quality of life is immediately improved, as bugs are caught and fixed earlier. These gains multiply in the long run since automations improve both efficiency and reliability of the software. When less manual testing is required, Zefort’s team can also focus on higher-yielding tasks.
We have introduced a more scalable and secure way of testing and a system to provide concrete cost savings by efficiently allocating resources.
Our greatest pride, however, is that Zefort is now better equipped to build upon this improvement independently. With new tools in their toolbox, you can expect an even better contract management platform in the future.

Auntie
The great culture fit for our company and seamless communication with both the company representatives and the developers, combined with their technical proficiency, made Software Sauna a valuable and well-fitting partner for Auntie.

Auntie is a low-threshold mental well-being service that provides support for employees suffering from stress, overachieving, or lost motivation. Their services are used by over five hundred pioneering organizations, ranging from small expert companies to major global corporations and public-sector organizations in the Nordics and Europe. Services are provided all together in 25+ languages.
The cooperation between Auntie and Software Sauna started at the beginning of 2022. Auntie was continuously seeking full-stack developers to enhance all their applications but faced challenges hiring fast enough engineers for their in-house team.
Software Sauna initially allocated three experienced Java developers to work closely with Auntie’s CTO and in-house development and product teams. Software Sauna’s developers worked in two different Auntie teams developing the My Auntie application and taking care of integrations and databases of the whole Auntie service. As the project progressed, the team was reduced to one developer who continued working with Auntie. The work has been conducted 100% remotely, utilizing tools like GitHub, Asana, and Nuclino for communication and project management.

Maxicaster is a leading multi solution TV technology company, focused on delivering and operating complete TV and Video delivery solutions. Concentrating on the maritime sector, but also providing entertainment solutions in other spaces, Maxicaster provides it’s services for cruise ships, making the journey more enjoyable both for passengers and the crew.
We have had the pleasure to work with Sauna on two separate customer facing projects in the mobile space (Android/iOS) and event management (React).
Outsourcing pre-existing work interfacing large backend systems is not trivial. In both cases, the Sauna developers have shown themselves to be quick learners who have confidently assumed ownership of previous work with a minimum of overhead from our side. The right questions have been asked at the right time regarding independently taken key decisions allowing us to be confident that work is tracking in the right direction at all times. This has allowed us to truly free resourcing internally while leaning on the strong expertise provided by Sauna.
Sauna is an easy going company with a high degree of professionalism making them a joy to work with across the board. We are already looking forward to further collaboration and expect Sauna to remain a key partner for us for years to come.

Popit

Popit is a medtech company that wants to put an end to people forgetting their medications. With their clinically proven adherence solution, which reduces missed doses by over 80%, Popit truly makes a difference in peoples’ lives.
In initial discussions between Popit and Software Sauna, the plan was to make improvements to Popit’s existing internal web application. Originally developed in 2017, some parts of the application were understandably in need of upgrades.
After Sauna’s consultant dug into the application and had further discussions together with Popit, conclusions of best action plans were drawn. The most cost-efficient and futureproof solution in this case was to rebuild the application altogether. Being rather light, it amounted to roughly the same amount of work for Sauna’s consultant, as improving the old application. By starting from a clean slate, it will be much easier and more efficient for Popit to build new functionalities and maintain the existing ones.

Hotelway
What I think is especially good is their quick reaction to different situations and smooth communication, even if we work together from different countries.

Hotelway’s service connects the hospitality industry and its guests in a seamless way. The Hotelway chatbot assists guests in planning their upcoming trips, whereas the Hotelway Reporting Dashboard delivers valuable insights for hotel decision-making.
Software Sauna has worked closely with Hotelway in developing the Reporting Dashboard. We have created more than ten reports, with which the hotels are up to speed with customer demand and gain a base for future planning and forecasting. Software Sauna was called to support Hotelway’s internal software development team and works now as a fully integrated part of the team.

They understood what we were looking for.

Gixon App is a marketplace where music lovers can book artists for private events. When Software Sauna was involved in the project, Gixon already had an existing application. However, the app was tormented by technical problems, which meant that Gixon couldn’t launch it.
With the solutions proposed and implemented by the Sauna team, Gixon received a highly functional and sleek mobile application, which they were able to launch. The Gixon App is available both for Android and iOS users.
The Android app is built using Kotlin, with MVVM architecture. The iOS app is built on Swift, with VIPER architecture. The back-end is written in NodeJS and TypeScript, with various incorporated AWS components. Additionally, we created an admin panel written in React and TypeScript, for easier control of app properties without the help of a technical person.

Pisara Learning
We didn’t have any problems with deadlines, communication was quite swift and easy via Slack. Also video calls kept all of us on the same page when necessary.

Pisara Learning is a company that provides digital learning solutions. Together we developed an interactive educational storytelling application in the browser and the framework for writing future content for it.
With the help of Pisara’s design and concept, Software Sauna developed the application from scratch. The application includes functionalities such as drawing, stamping, drag&drop, and connect-the-dots. As these functionalities were combined with different tasks, it resulted in a beautiful educational story. Now the pupils can learn by drawing modernly, with modern tools.
In addition to developing the application, the Sauna team guided Pisara on how to make adjustments and configurations independently in the future.
The application was developed mainly using Phaser and TypeScript.
STP Medical
They have made a great system. We were very happy with everything.

STP Medical Ltd (RemoTest Lausuntopalvelut) is a Finnish healthcare startup that helps moving biometric data like ECG and sleep data from hospitals and health centers. With the data, doctors are able to decide on a patient’s diagnosis.
Software Sauna developed STP Medical’s cloud software solution from scratch. The Sauna team took charge of the full architecture, all the way from technology decisions to design implementations, product development and integrations. Thanks to this solution, the doctors are able to do analysis faster and more efficiently.

Software Sauna has been an excellent addition to our internal staff. They can guide some of our junior employees and even our staff on the senior side. They have great technical expertise and bring ideas and ways to improve to the table. It’s been a good match for us.

The purpose of this project was to transform the interface of Analyste’s banking software into a new one. In addition, our task was to simultaneously improve the current functionalities and give the product a face-lift.
This project was one of the largest in Analyste’s history, which also meant that several multi-site locations caused some challenges at the beginning of the project. Analyste also decided to start using new technologies they were unfamiliar with before, one of them being Angular.
Software Sauna’s developers brought this know-how to the project and did not only help in creating the new UI but also transferred knowledge to the Analyste in-house team.

Wunderdog

Wunderdog and Software Sauna have already cooperated on several different projects. In our first joint project, we customized Wunderdog’s client’s WordPress-based CMS for a global marketing campaign. Our team provided full-stack development using React and updated the UI by incorporating the client’s visuals. We created a Hybrid Team with Wunderdog and allocated separate full-stack developers for the front-end and back-end. The project was carried out in one-week sprints using agile methodologies.
In our second project, we worked on a micro-service cloud-native marketplace for a European client. The project was challenging due to distributed locations, technical complexity, and high availability demands. Our developer was part of a small agile team, in which she was responsible for developing, configuring, deploying, and monitoring a set of 20+ micro-services. We were mostly working on REST endpoints and background jobs responsible for ingesting, storing, and providing shop product data to the rest of the platform.

Software Sauna built a web application to be an integral part of the Kipuwex pain assessment product. With this web application, nurses can monitor the patient’s health information and assess patient pain more reliably.
A team of Sauna developers built the application from scratch, keeping a constant open dialogue with Kipuwex, in order to always improve the product in the desired direction. The application was mainly developed using modern JavaScript frameworks, most notably React and CSS.
